My name is Emily & I am the creative director and Chef of MISE Hawaii.
I grew up in Manhattan with a mother that picked mushrooms from forgotten parks, a father that grew heirloom tomatoes on the roof of his Bronx firehouse & a gourmet food salesman uncle that went on benders with Bourdain.
Hospitality & hedonism are my favorite virtues and I have chosen a profession that allows me to share that joy with everyone…including you!
Constantly surrounded by international cuisine, exotic techniques & ingredients, I naturally gravitated to the culinary world & over a decade ago I abandoned my graduate studies to travel the world & train in international hospitality.
I worked all over - bartending in London, as a gardener & Chef at a chalet in Swiss Alps, hosting dinner parties in Chile and as a sommelier on yachts on the Mediterranean before finally settling in Hawaii.
Hawaiian hospitality is a true luxury & with MISE we execute European inspired “luxe aloha” - a truly bespoke service rooted in harmony, humility & joy.
